# Will Google accept your product feed?

> Free Google Merchant Center feed validator: upload a CSV or TSV product feed (5 MB) and get every per-row problem, a summary and a downloadable problem list. Never stored.

Free feed validator by catalogaudit: https://catalogaudit.app/feed-validator (no signup, nothing stored beyond a salted IP hash used for daily limits).

## What it checks

- Validates a Merchant Center CSV or TSV product feed of up to 5 MB, row by row
- Checks required attributes, price and availability formats, URLs and duplicate ids
- Checks GTINs, titles, descriptions, Google product categories and apparel attributes
- Summarises problems by type and severity, with a CSV download of every problem
- Never stores the file: it is read in memory for one request

## Questions

### What file can I upload?

A CSV (comma) or TSV (tab) product feed of up to 5 MB, with a header row that uses Merchant Center's attribute names: id, title, description, link, image_link, availability, price, brand, gtin and so on. Headers like g:price and Image Link are understood. XML feeds aren't supported yet.

### Is my feed stored?

No. The file is read in memory while we check it and then discarded; we keep no copy and no product data. We store only a salted hash of your IP address, to enforce daily limits. The problem list you can download is built from your file and sent back to you.

### How is this different from Merchant Center's diagnostics?

Merchant Center reports what Google disapproved after you submitted the feed. This checks the file first, row by row, against the product data specification, so you fix problems before they cost you impressions. It can't see how Google reads your landing pages: the structured data tester does that.
