What do Google and AI agents read on your product page?

Google Merchant Center and AI shopping agents read your product's structured data, not your page design. Paste a product page and we show exactly what it publishes, run the audit's rules on it and, for Shopify stores, check it against your live price and stock.

How the test works

The page as a crawler downloads it, next to the store as it is

We download the page the way a crawler does (without running JavaScript) and read its Product or ProductGroup JSON-LD: name, brand, GTIN, every offer's price, currency and availability, attributes, return policy and shipping markup.

On a Shopify store we also read the product's live data from the storefront's Ajax API and pair each offer with its variant. Price and availability that disagree with the store are what Google disapproves as a mismatch, and what makes an AI agent quote the wrong price.

The full audit runs this on 25 products and adds everything else agents and Google Shopping read. See the checks →

About the structured data tester

More questions →

What is product structured data?

A block of JSON-LD in the page that describes the product in schema.org's vocabulary: name, brand, GTIN, price, currency, availability, variants. Google Merchant Center and AI shopping agents read it instead of guessing from your page design. Most Shopify themes publish a basic version; apps and theme edits often break it.

Why must the price in structured data match my store?

Google compares the price and availability your page publishes with your Merchant Center feed and the landing page. A mismatch gets items disapproved ("Mismatched value"), and an AI agent that quotes a stale price or recommends a sold-out product stops trusting the listing.

The tester says there's no structured data, but my theme adds it. Why?

If an app or theme builds the JSON-LD with JavaScript after the page loads, it isn't in the HTML a crawler downloads. Google renders JavaScript eventually; most AI crawlers don't. We flag that case separately so you know the data exists but is invisible to them.
